Learning Objectives

The learning goal/purpose of this educational activity is:

Registered nurses in all fields of practice will acquire an updated knowledge of factors that lead to disparities in cancer risk and the survivorship experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) populations. By incorporating this knowledge into their clinical practice, registered nurses in all fields of practice will be able to provide the highest level and quality of care to their patients and meet the unique needs of this population.

The objective of this education activity is:

  1. Discuss the physical, emotional, and practical aspects of cancer affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) populations.
This module will expire February 27, 2014.
