Beyond the Diagnosis: Survivorship Education for Every Nurse

This Sunday marks the 24th annual National Cancer Survivors Day, when people around the country celebrate life and recognize caregivers like you who support survivors. Nearly 12 million cancer survivors are alive in the U.S. alone, thanks to improved screening and detection tools, advanced treatments, and more public and professional awareness of lifestyle and risk factors (American Cancer Society, 2010).

Cancer Survivors DayOne way to honor the survivors in your life is through NOEP's ALL FREE online education. We have FIVE different courses on cancer survivorship, because no matter your role or field of practice, you can impact cancer survivors of all ages. In your review at the end of a course, please share a story of an interaction you've had while caring for a patient survivor (without mentioning names) or tell us what inspires you in your work. Joni Watson, MSN, RN, OCN wrote, "For all the young adults who've allowed me to care for them on their cancer journey."

Coming soon: New online courses on Beyond the Diagnosis: Cancer in Rural Populations and Beyond the Diagnosis: Cancer in LGBT Populations.
